Burlington Coat Factory of Raritan, NJ
Optimistically taking over the old Babies R Us / Toys R Us location outside the Somerville Circle is a Burlington Coat Factory.
While we’d likely say this is Bridgewater, NJ – it technically is in Raritan, NJ.
They were originally planning on opening at the end of last spring, but have chosen to push back the ribbon-cutting to sometime “in the fall.”
While Burlington is part of growing “discount” stores such as the TJMaxx and others, we always had bad luck finding things of good value there (for instance at the Flemington, NJ location).
It is what it is – we’ll see how retail shopping pans out as time goes on. Or in other words – how long this crisis will last. Maybe everyone will forget about it after Election Day.
