Smoked BBQ happens to be our favorite kind of cooked meat. Tender, fall off the bone variety. If we had to pick only one kind of food to eat every day – this would be it. And American Heroes Smokehouse BBQ (which is new) fits the bill.
Note that this was previously a well-renowned Barbecue spot just earlier this year, Red White & Que Smokeshack. They had like seven or eight locations. For whatever reason, they “cashed out” most of their spots to focus on the sole location in Kearny, NJ.
What this location looked like earlier in 2018.
We tried them as well – and loved every bite. However, we have yet to try out the new American Heroes spot as of yet (something always getting in our way!) Note that this iteration of business has several NJ/PA locations – Such as Easton, PA, Randolph, NJ and Wayne, NJ.

American Heroes Smokehouses cook and serve only the highest quality meats, smoked daily on site. Combining the best of regional barbecue styles from across the US, our menu centers around Texas-style brisket (covered in a peppery “bark” and smoked for a minimum of 12 hours), Carolina Pulled Pork (pulled by hand to order, then dressed with a zingy Lexington dip) and St. Louis Cut Ribs (slow-smoked with our signature Que rub). Our sides are handcrafted in-house and made from scratch daily, and our menu features a fresh and flavorful roster of rotating specials which vary by store.
