Slow Down Snowflakes in New Jersey

Over the past decade or two – we’ve witnessed an overall degradation in society. Especially when it comes to how the world coexists.

Each year it seems that yet another group or groups of people feel the need to DICTATE how others should live their lives.

It can be about anything from “inclusiveness” to “participation trophies.”

On the surface, it appears to be about sensitivity or not “offending” anyone. This is why everything you see and read these days is sugar-coated and dumbed down beyond belief. You can say that humans have slowly been “homogenized” over the past many years into this almost singular blob. Groupthink at it’s finest.

But at the same time – this lowers individuality in society. Sounds like a major play from the socialism handbook if you ask us. Copy of a copy as NIN once said (video below).

“SLOW DOWN” – What does that also say?

Back when we grew up – nowhere ever were signs from RESIDENTS imploring drivers to slow down. Sure, there might have been a sporadic city-installed “children playing” sign or two – but NOTHING like today.

And we played in the street. Often BUSY streets. Our parents didn’t helicopter over us or scold us if we were in precarious situations. That’s how we learned to be safe on our OWN. Without the nanny or mom as a safety blanket.

Every block it seems that there are multiple slow down signs today.

What that says is that these people:

  1. Are afraid.
  2. Cannot teach their own kid’s survival skills.
  3. Hate that other people can live freely and disobey decreed speed limit signs. (i.e., colored outside the lines).

Virtue signaling in the name of safety – who can argue with that?

When you have ninnies like this clamoring for safety – it’s very hard to argue to the contrary. “What if the kids get hurt?” They cry.

And you wonder why municipal property taxes never go down, right? Bike lane paint and safety signs are not free.

I don’t know. Virtue-signaling like that is annoying as hell. Perhaps one thing they’re getting way too comfortable with is opening their stupid mouths. I guess that’s another drawback of the social media echo chambers everyone is in today. (And one very IMPORTANT thing they overlook – is the fact that too many signs actually DISTRACT drivers from paying attention! Boo!)

I’ll tell you this much – we wouldn’t want these ninnies on our team if our lives depended on it, that is for sure.

In the end – these signs are more annoying than they are helpful. The folks that probably adhere to them are likely already slow drivers.

Have a great day!
