The low carb alcohol trend {VLOG}
In today’s NJroute22.com VLOG – we will chime in about the low alcohol trend.
Low-carb has been around to some degree for a long time. More people know about it today than say 30 years ago. But there are still not enough people that understand it completely.
As in, the only way it really works is to go either super low-carb or even “ZERO CARB.” Such as a hardcore carnivore diet.
You can tell it’s still not considered mainstream because there are no dedicated sections for it in the supermarket – and they rarely even classify things as low carb. It’s either like they DO NOT want it to become a “thing,” or the math truly indicates not enough of a demand to warrant it.
But that oddly enough – seems to be taking a different path in the alcohol industry. Many products are now prominently displaying the number of carbs on their packaging. This was practically unheard of just five years ago.
There are now dozens of different “low carb” spiked seltzers on the market. And several “low carb” beers (we happen to think the Corona Premier is not half bad).
Maybe the booze industry will pave the way for the rest of the food sellers to follow? Is this the tipping point for more widespread low carb acceptance?
We hope so – for the rest of humanity. We already have it figured out.
Have a great day!
