ShopRite Wines & Spirits of Chester NJ
This is the ShopRite Wines & Spirits location in Chester, NJ (borough). A modest store. Not one of our favorites in the coverage area.
Their selection definitely seems a bit limited, but that is understandable, considering the smaller footprint compared to other locations. And this spot is a bit “dated,” as far as we’re concerned. And the parking lot is a bit challenging to exit – especially if you want to head north. But those are minor quibbles when you step back and think about it. It’s a liquor store, for crying out loud!
As we’ve mentioned in previous threads, ShopRite Wines & Spirits are considered a major liquor store in NJ when it comes to economies of scale. It seems almost everything they sell there is either the same or cheaper than almost anywhere else (with exceptions being “sale” prices elsewhere…)
The Chester location keeps peculiar hours. Closing at 9 pm Mondays through Thursdays. And “9:45 pm” on Fridays and Saturdays (Who came up with that 15-minute increment?) And another early-closing time of 7 pm on Sundays.
