Losing interest in retail shopping for fun {VLOG}

In today’s NJroute22.com VLOG – we talk about how a good number of people have literally lost interest in retail shopping for fun.

With the whole “crisis” still oddly upon society by the “controllers” of laws and other societal mechanisms – shopping casually is just not fun anymore.

Wearing face diapers to browse stores without a specific purpose is just plain stupid if you ask us. Akin to wearing a biohazard suit to go on a nature walk in the woods. Alone.

We can understand going to a store where you have SPECIFIC needs – sure. But in our opinion, shopping as a “thing to do” just for the sake of spending (or killing) time (or your wallets) is off the table for us, and many others.

To this date – we still have not worn a mask. And that means pretty much not entering any store anywhere. Although it’s getting to the point where we have to figure something out. As our Home Depot visits always resulted in a positive outcome in terms of ongoing necessities, repairs, or maintenance projects. Buying things we need online is ongoing, but oftentimes having a massive store of merchandise and tools to peruse literally reminded you of the many things you could actually use in your home.

As an upside, not wasting time just milling around has given us more time to do other things. But we sadly haven’t invented our multi-million dollar idea with all this extra time we’ve had.

Even if this crisis just goes away, we wonder how many people will no longer feel the desire to just shop around anymore. Maybe it’s a blessing in disguise, as way too many people filled voids in their lives by accumulating material possessions?

Who knows what the near future will bring us.

Have a great day!
