Kona Spiked Island Seltzer Review {VLOG}
In today’s NJroute22.com VLOG – we review the Kona Spiked Island Seltzer. Comes from the Kona Brewing Company – based out of Hawaii.
This was another quick pickup for us. We saw the attractive packaging – and despite it being 2 grams of carbs per can – our curiosity was piqued enough to give it one shot. Heck, what is 1 gram extra of carbs for a night or two?
Kona Spiked Island Seltzer is 5% alcohol by volume and comes in 12-ounce cans. They do have the nice traditional sized cans, instead of the wobbly slim cans which we detest.
The flavors were Tropical Punch, Starfruit Lime, Strawberry Guava, and Passionfruit Orange Guava.
As you can see – like other beer “brewing companies,” many are adding the low-carb seltzers to their lineups. They must know that the movement might be growing pretty fast.
In general – we enjoyed these drinks just fine. The Tropical Punch was our favorite – but they were all decent. The buzz was what you’d expect from 5% ABV drinks.
However, we’re penny-pinchers. And at $17 per 12-pack, we’re probably going to buy it only sometimes. They were good, but there are many other better seltzers that are more affordable.
I guess that is one of the drawbacks of having to ship your stuff halfway across the world, right?
But if you like seltzers as we do, why not give it a shot to augment your experiences?
See you next vlog.
