Should sweet tastes be avoided with low-carb and keto?

Today’s NJroute22.com VLOG is about sweet tastes and foods in general. Not just the main culprits like candy and cupcakes. But even the “good guys” such as low-glycemic fruits, or non-blood-sugar raising alternative sweeteners like Erythritol and Monk Fruit.

We’re beginning to suspect that whatever taste buds that are “activated” when putting sweet things in your mouth trigger some kind of chain reaction that isn’t good, regardless of the source.

Have you ever noticed how you always want MORE sweet things? This seems unnatural, and perhaps a reason to stop all sweet tastes altogether. Sort of the same way MSG (and Chinese food) takes control of your senses.

We’ll be exploring this subject for the next couple of low-carb episodes.
