I wouldn’t have thought NJ to be near the bottom, but considering the density those fast food places probably don’t need any more locations. You can’t walk a mile in NJ without bumping into one. Although I think living in Vermont might have some advantages. Only 7% of the population size of the state of NJ. Just Hudson County in NJ has more people than the entire state of VT.
