Mainly because it’s not something our entire species is supposed to eat in large quantities. Unless we expect to face starvation soon!
The primary reason people get added fat from sugar – is because our bodies are “programmed” to do that. For survival. Not enjoyment!

Below is a HIGHLY RECOMMENDED podcast from one of our favorite (albeit obsessive) Doctor/scientist Peter Attia. He interviews Dr. Rick Johnson – who has been on the forefront of the negative impacts of Fructose for the past couple of decades. Worth a listen several times over.
