Where we shop regularly there are no “bans” on plastic bags. Yet.
There are however over a dozen cities in NJ that have instituted citywide bans on plastic bags. Some as large as Jersey City, while many are quaint shore towns. Thankfully there are hundreds (of towns) left that have (yet) to bother with this “trendy” meddling of simple commerce.
In today’s NJroute22.com VLOG – we talk about our experience staying at a “plastic dry” municipality while visiting nearby Massachusetts.
In the end – we feel that perhaps they’ve gone a bit too far. Plastic isn’t gone by a long shot. It never will be. The only thing that is fading away is common sense and human dignity. All for a virtuous plea for attention.
