I find it quite fascinating that only certain areas of Route 22 have literal fences down the center median.

Based on my recollection, I think they’re only in Hillside and the Watchung, North Plainfield areas.

Nowhere else.

Why do you think that is? Something as simple as the decision of the respective local governments?

Or are they real-world historical problems which actually led to the need for these fences. Like reckless people crossing the road, or even just an animal problem.
